Lanka Tour
Day/01 : SAT/ MON Proceed on a city tour of Colombo. After
tour
transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day/02 : SUN/ TUE After breakfast
leave for Polonaruwa – the
medieval city ( 11th – 12th century ) with many of the
sites still standing as they were including the Gal
Vihara with it’s four
statues of the Buddha carved out
of the same rock. Evening at leisure. Overnight at
Hotel.
Day/03 : MON/ WED After breakfast
leave for Kandy. The last
stronghold of the Sinhala Kings. Kandy is
Srilanka’s mos beautiful
city. Here in vally ringed by
tall peaks is the home of the craftmen in Silver &
Brass. Enroute visit Sigiriya. Climb sigiriya rock
fortress of a patricide Sinhala Prince Kassapa
who in
the 05th century AD secured in this stronghold to avoid
the vengeance of his brother The rock
tower 600FT
with the stone steps leading to the flat top where the
countryard lies. Afternoon , city tour of Kandy
including a visit to the temple of the tooth relic of Lord
Buddha. In the evening, witness a cultural
show.Overnigh at hotel.
